Check your holdings without the distractions.
An ad-free dashboard keeps the focus on your portfolio. Separate portfolios keep different accounts from becoming one undifferentiated list.
Private beta Portfolio tracking, on your terms
You want to understand what you hold and what changed. Not spend your evening preparing the numbers. Bring your investment records into Portico, then choose how your AI tools can work with them.
Explore this page’s illustrative workflow without uploading your financial records.
01 The work before the work
You open an export. Find the right account. Check the dates. Work out which version contains your latest transactions.
Then you prepare the same information again for another tool.
By the time you’re ready to ask a useful question, you’ve already done the administrative work.
You need a way to review your records. Not another place that makes you start over.
02 Your starting point
Start with the task in front of you. You don’t have to change everything at once.
These paths help you navigate the page. Your selection is not submitted or stored, and no financial information is requested.
03 What becomes useful
A place to look at your information. A way to ask about it. The choice of which tools get access.
An ad-free dashboard keeps the focus on your portfolio. Separate portfolios keep different accounts from becoming one undifferentiated list.
Review holdings, recorded dividends, and performance history. Look at the activity behind the headline figure instead of treating the balance as the whole story.
Review your records alongside the calculations. Compare important figures with your brokerage statements and investigate anything that doesn’t match.
Through a compatible AI connection, ask about positions, transactions, and recorded dividends without pasting the same holdings into every conversation.
You’re still responsible for checking the information. The goal is to make that work easier to approach, not to replace your judgment.
Review current product details ↗04 See the useful part
Follow one illustrative holding from its recorded activity to a factual answer. No rising chart. No investment-performance claim.
| Date | Activity | Shares | CAD amount |
|---|---|---|---|
| Purchase | 20 | 1,000.00 | |
| Purchase | 10 | 600.00 | |
| Dividend | — | 12.00 |
The two purchase records contain 20 and 10 shares. The dividend record does not add any shares.
20 shares + 10 shares = 30 shares. You can check the answer against the two purchase records.
The useful result: you can see which entries explain the answer, rather than accepting a number on its own.

05 Ways to get there
You may be comfortable setting things up yourself. Or you may need help with the first import, an AI connection, or a more involved workflow.
Product access and proposed services are different. The tracker is invite-only software. Lanes B, C, and D are service concepts shown in this prototype, not currently available bookings. Their scope, pricing, and delivery must be approved before launch.
Self-serve portfolio tracking
You want a place to review your records and a workflow you can manage yourself. Start with a supported export. Connect an AI assistant only when that becomes useful to you.
Check supported files and current beta conditions on Portico before requesting access.
Guided setup and import
You have the files. You don’t want the first import to become another project. This proposed service would help you check compatibility, organize portfolios, and review imported records.
Technical setup support only. Not investment advice or certification of your tax records.
Pricing and delivery are not yet established. This service cannot be booked from this prototype.
AI connection setup
You want to ask about your records. You also want to understand what you’re authorizing. This proposed service would help you connect a compatible assistant and test a factual question.
You would authorize access yourself. Setup support should never require you to hand over a password.
Pricing and supported service scope are not yet established. This service is not available to book.
Professional workflow scoping
You need to know whether a tool fits your responsibilities before introducing client records. This proposed assessment would start with your workflow, access requirements, and current limitations.
This does not imply that multi-user or enterprise capabilities are available. Start with a description of the task, not client financial records.
This assessment is a proposed offer. No client engagement or booking is created through this page.
The tracker is the core product. Setup and connection support would help you use it. Professional scoping would evaluate a different operating context rather than assume the consumer product already meets your client-work requirements.
06 A practical first step
Start small enough to understand what happened. Then decide whether the workflow fits how you work.
Portico advertises Wealthsimple and Yahoo Finance formats. Check compatibility before beginning a migration. Your brokerage login stays out of the process.
Compare the imported information with your original records. Investigate differences before treating the wider portfolio as ready to use.
With an approved, compatible AI connection, start with a factual task rather than an investment recommendation.
Show the transactions recorded for this holding.
Portfolio records do not automatically synchronize with your brokerage. Re-importing is part of the workflow, so your review should include checking what period the records cover.
You’re looking for a process you can repeat. Not a setup that only works once.
Check current import and connection support ↗07 Your data. Your choices.
Know what you’re sharing, what a connection can do, and how to change your mind.
Portico uses manual file uploads rather than connecting directly to your brokerage. You provide records, not your brokerage credentials.
AI access is optional. An approved connection can read portfolio data and use the import and portfolio-creation tools described on the consent screen. Review those permissions before authorizing access.
You can revoke a connection, export transactions and positions, or request account deletion. Review the external AI provider’s policies too: removing access does not promise that information already shared is erased from that provider.
08 In their own words
Control over access. Less work preparing and checking records. Those concerns are more specific than “more features.”
Public conversations, not customer endorsements. The excerpts below come from public discussions. Neither person is established here as a Portico customer, and these comments do not demonstrate product results.
“I am not sharing my Vanguard login”
“What people will pay for is not reconciling tax lots by hand in a spreadsheet every April.”
09 Before you start
A few distinctions worth understanding before you upload a file or authorize a connection.
No. The AI connection is optional. You can use Portico for portfolio tracking without it.
Portico currently advertises Wealthsimple and Yahoo Finance formats. Check its current support before migrating records. This page does not imply support for other brokers.
No direct brokerage synchronization is described in the published workflow. You import files manually and re-import when you need to refresh your records.
The age of your transaction records and the age of market prices are different things. Check both before relying on a figure.
You should compare important figures with your original records. Calculations depend on supplied information and third-party prices, which may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate.
Portico is an informational record-keeping tool, not an investment-advisory service. It does not replace financial or tax advice. An AI assistant’s interpretation should not be treated as independently verified guidance.
This page does not sell a paid plan or take payment. Portico’s published terms allow for future paid plans with separately disclosed billing conditions. Review the current offer on Portico before requesting access.
The proposed service lanes on this prototype do not yet have approved pricing and cannot be booked.
Guided setup and AI connection support are proposed service concepts in this prototype, not confirmed available services. Their scope, delivery arrangements, and fees need to be approved before they can be offered.
Do not assume that an individual tracking account supplies the permissions, controls, support, or contractual arrangements your client work requires. The professional scoping lane shown here is a proposed assessment, not a statement of enterprise readiness.
Start with a description of your requirements, not client financial records.
10 Start with one portfolio
Start with one supported file. Check one holding. See whether the workflow fits how you work. Request your Portico invite when you’re ready to explore further.
Your starting point: check file compatibility, then begin with one portfolio and a holding you recognize.
This selection only guides the preview. It is not saved or sent to Portico.
Opens Portico in a new tab. You’ll enter your email there. This prototype does not collect emails, grant access, or submit service bookings.
